Step 02Arrival at Polonnaruwa Ancient City
Step into the medieval capital of Sri Lanka, built in the 11th–12th centuries. Begin exploring the vast Archaeological Museum before entering the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath, and the circular Vatadage relic shrine. Allow 2–2.5 hours to truly absorb this extraordinary site.

Step 06Sigiriya Lion Rock Climb
Ascend approximately 1,200 steps up the legendary 5th-century fortress of King Kashyapa. Pause at the famous Sigiriya Frescoes, run your hand along the ancient Mirror Wall, then pass through the colossal Lion’s Paws gateway to the summit ruins. The 360° views are utterly unforgettable. Allow 2–2.5 hours including descent.

Step 07Return Drive to Colombo
