Step 01Departure from Colombo / Negombo
Your private driver picks you up from your hotel. The comfortable A/C drive heads north along the Mirigama Highway — a perfect time to relax or catch extra sleep.

Step 02Breakfast Stop — Café Amakie, Kurunegala
Refresh with local and international breakfast options (self-paid). A scenic stop before the final leg to Dambulla.

Step 03Dambulla Cave Temple — UNESCO World Heritage
Arrive before the 10:30 AM worship closure. Five magnificent rock-cut cave shrines with 2,100 m² of ancient murals and 157 gilded statues — one of Asia's finest cave complexes.

Step 04Sigiriya Lion Rock Climb
Ascend ~1,200 steps up the 5th-century royal fortress. Admire the world-famous frescoes and Mirror Wall, then reach the summit for 360° panoramic views. Allow 2–3 hours including descent.

Step 05Lunch & Optional Village Experience
After the climb, enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan lunch — or add the village tour: bullock cart ride through paddy fields, canoe lake crossing, and a home-cooked meal at a village house.

Step 06Optional Jeep Safari — National Park
A 2.5-hour jeep safari through the national park. Depending on season, spot herds of elephants, spotted deer, crocodiles, and rich birdlife in their natural habitat.

Step 07Return Drive to Colombo
Regroup for the relaxing evening drive south. Hotel drop-offs between 9:00–10:00 PM — ending an unforgettable journey through history, nature, and culture.
